The Lumbini Mandalay has zero tolerance for bullying of any kind. Our anti-bullying policy ensures:

Regular attendance is essential for academic success. Our attendance policy includes:

School Hours:

• Pre-Nursery & Nursery: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

• Kindergarten – Grade 5: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Grade 6 – IGCSE: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Attendance Requirements:

• Students must arrive on time for all classes

• Parents must notify the school of absences before 9:00 AM

• Medical certificates required for absences exceeding 3 days

• Pre-approval needed for planned absences

• 90% minimum attendance required for grade promotion

Late arrivals and excessive absences may affect academic performance and promotion decisions.

Students are required to wear the official school uniform to promote equality and school identity:

Daily Uniform:

• White shirt/blouse with school logo

• Navy blue pants/skirt

• Black shoes with white socks

• School badge on uniform

PE Days:

• School PE t-shirt

• Navy blue athletic shorts/pants

• Athletic shoes

General Guidelines:

• Uniforms must be clean and well-maintained

• Hair should be neat and tidy

• Minimal jewelry allowed (small earrings only)

• Nail polish and makeup not permitted

• Extreme hairstyles or hair colors not allowed

Students not in proper uniform may not be permitted to attend classes.

To maintain a focused learning environment, we have clear policies regarding electronic devices:

Mobile Phones:

• Students may bring phones but must keep them switched off during school hours

• Phones must be stored in bags or lockers

• Use only permitted during designated breaks in specific areas

• Unauthorized use will result in confiscation

Tablets & Laptops:

• Only school-approved devices for educational purposes

• Use permitted only under teacher supervision

• Students responsible for care and security of devices

• Internet access monitored and filtered

Consequences for Policy Violation:

• 1st offense: Device confiscated until end of day

• 2nd offense: Parent must collect device

• 3rd offense: Device ban for remainder of term

We encourage face-to-face interaction and minimize digital distractions during learning time.

Student safety is paramount. We conduct regular safety drills to ensure preparedness:

Fire Drill:

• Conducted at least twice per academic year

• All students and staff participate

• Clear evacuation routes posted in all classrooms

• Assembly points designated on campus

• Roll call taken to ensure all are accounted for

• Staff trained in fire extinguisher use

Earthquake Drill:

• Formal conferences twice per year

• Progress reports shared quarterly

• Appointments available upon request

• Open door policy for urgent concerns

Communication Channels:

• Conducted at least once per academic year

• "Drop, Cover, Hold On" procedure practiced

• Safe zones identified throughout campus

• Emergency supplies maintained

• Evacuation procedures for various scenarios
